Pratapgarh Farms is a veritable Botanical garden with 150 different species of trees and plants species. Gardens are laid out in fascinating formats. Panchvati, the abode of Lord Rama has five trees representing the Panchboots, fertility and life. Triveni is a wonder where huge Banyan, Bodhi and Neem trees grow together. Triphla kunj has three magic medicinal trees – Awala, Harad and Baheda, Nakshatra Van has 27 trees in Nakshatra corresponding to each Nakshatra (Band in the skies), Rashi vatika with 12 trees corresponding to the Zodiac Signs and Navgrah Vatika with 9 plants corresponding to the heavenly bodies influencing humans in Indian astrology. Meet the medicinal plants – Aloe vera, Ashavagandha (Indian ginseng), Giloy (Amritvalli) and 7 varieties of Tulsi (basil) and many more in our Aushadh Vatika. Sensitize yourself to the magic and magnanimity of nature. Nursery walk has 30 Green Houses taking you through world of Ficus, Palms, Cactus and other potted plants.

Our team of ten Camels including Sahiba, Saheli, Bipasa, Desert fox and Flying fox and their friends, Bullocks Heera, Moti, Gora and Badal in their beautiful royal attires and last but not the least our Tractors – Dara and Balwan- take you out for royal rides in our sprawling fields.

Relax your Body and Soul

When you are tired, get a head massage from the Village masseur and take a true mud bath and when the mud has dried on you, bathe yourself under the gushing waters of tube well and discover the glow on your body. Enjoy the swings and slides and laze around or snooze on the cots.

Join us and be a farmer

Participate in agricultural, gardening and dairy activities with the amiable Pratapgarh Farm workers drawn from local populace. Plough a field with camels, bulls or tractors – sow the seeds, reap and winnow (depending on season). Visit our vegetable garden. Get a whiff of various crops growing in the farm. Watch how we can prevent poisoning of our surroundings with pesticides and insecticides and degrading our environment with biogas plant, farm yard manuring and vermi-composting.

Culture &Creativity is in the Air

Sit with our village potter to make beautiful terracotta bowls, and lamps. Weave a thread on the Charkha with local womenfolk or weave a shawl on the handloom. You have a choice of rural activities to make it a memorable experience cooking, pounding grain, grinding Atta (flour), making ghee and buttermilk or simply balancing water pail on your head like true Haryanvi womenfolk. Witness the romantic tales of puppets woven by our consummate puppeteers.

Throughout the day, we serve you delightful vegetarian cuisine from Haryana Rajasthan and Punjab including breakfast and Lunch. Chakki Fresh Atta (freshly ground flour from the best local grain, farm fresh vegetables; combined with local favourites – Makhan (white butter), Chacch (butter milk), Desi Ghee (clarified butter) and selected Masalas (spices) produce a treat of fresh flavour and uniquely different taste – a culinary experience you would like to savour for a long time. Pratapgarh Farms sources its milk and milk products from its own Dairy of Desi Cows and world famous Murra Buffaloes. Enjoy our traditional Bajre ki roti, Khichdi, Ghee Gur Chattni, gulgule, Churma right next to the Chullah (earthen hearths) lovingly cooked by rural women.

Pratapgarh Farms is located in close proximity to Delhi and within the National Capital Region. A 1-2 hours drive from Delhi brings you to this quiet and scenic rural neighbourhood. The farm is located within 4 kms from the district headquarter town of Jhajjar which is the immediate neighbouring district of Delhi in North West of Delhi and immediate neighbouring district of Gurgaon towards the North. Famous Bhindawas bird sanctuary is situated within 15 kms of Pratapgarh Farms. Area around Pratapgarh Farms is home to many local and migratory birds.

The Farmer Entrepreneur

The entrepreneur farmer is native of the place and has spent 2O years as a management professional out of which 12 years have been as CEO of an international development organization. He is widely travelled within and outside the country. For last several years he has been nominated to be member of National Committee on Tourism of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Encouraged by the Farm tourism Policy of the State of Haryana, he established this authentic farm tourism destination on his ancestral farmland.

Hygienic Food Pratapgarh Farms bring to your students, teachers and the entire school community, a safe and secure place full of fun, adventure, learning and enjoyment, amid the rolling green farmlands in the lap mother nature within 1 to 2 hours of driving time from your school. Surrounded by lush green fields growing wheat, mustard, barley, sugarcane :- the ethnic village and tourism farm has 25 acres of gated resort campus. The gated campus has a lake, lush green gardens – Nakshatra vatika, Rashi vatika, Navgriha vatika, Triphla kunj, Panchvati, Bodhvatika, Guru ke Bagh – which are a learning experience by themselves. There is an animal farm with cows, buffaloes, camels, goats, ducks, rabbits , emu bird, fowls and chicken. General Information and Notes

  1. We are open on all days. Exceptions if any will be notified on the website.
  2. We serve and cook in RO water. Bottled water and Cold drinks are not included in the package, but the Guests can purchase the cold drinks or bottled water over the counter.
  3. We provide a well enclosed parking with gates. Parking is free of charge at owners risk.
  4. Guests including school students and staff are responsible for their own belongings. We shall not be responsible for any loss or damage.
  5. Accompanying drivers/ transport staff will be provided separate relaxing space and can be served meals @ Rs 200/- per person. We regret that accompanying drivers / transport staff will not be permitted to enter the campus and indulge in activities. If you so desire they can be allowed inside on payment of full package charges.
  6. It is best to dress up in casuals; very especially sports shoes are convenient for rides, games and adventure activities. Very loose or hanging clothes or very tight dresses should be avoided.
  7. Students who wish to enjoy Mud bath and Tube well bath may carry their change and towels and appropriate bathing dresses. Bathing for gentlemen in short underwear is not permitted.
  8. We provide all equipment for games, sports and entertainment etc.
  9. We will not permit your students to carry any equipment for playing inside the campus.
  10. We do not allow stag entry. We permit entry only to families, groups through school, colleges, corporate entities and Associations.

Rules / Advice / Caution for your convenience and safety

  1. We do not permit consumption of alcoholic drinks. It is strictly prohibited.
  2. Guests including school students or staff are not permitted to drive tractors or carts or any machinery anyone attempting to do so will be liable any damages or consequences as a result of the same.
  3. Please do not point Airguns, Arrows, Gulels or Darts at each other or at animals or remove them from the respective venues. This can cause hurt.
  4. Guests are not permitted to pluck and/ or put Leaves/ flowers and fruits grown on the farm in their mouth / or eyes as some of them although used as medicinal plants can be toxic.
  5. Please do not run behind / around domestic animals. Farm animals are emotionally sensitive and respond to love, care and respect. Poking sticks, shouting around farm animals, running behind or trying to feed them can evoke potentially dangerous responses from animals.
  6. While doing daily activities or rides our facilitators will accompany the guests and we request that their instructions be followed.
  7. While we try and ensure smooth rides while doing agricultural activities or tractor rides. Please do not jump or board on a moving vehicle to avoid being thrown off. They may seem slow moving but they are prone to jerky movements.
  8. We request your patience in listening to our facilitators and following their instructions during rides and activities. Most of them would speak Hindi but with rural accent typical of the area.
  9. Please do not enter adjoining fields as they are privately owned. Consumption of alcohol or obscenity in any form will evoke strong objection by farmers and the local community.
  10. Any medical requiring care be informed in advance.
